Petticoat Junction Dress ($1.00)

This adorable dress is both comfortable and versatile. It makes a wonderfully comfortable summer dress that looks great with flip flops and a loose ponytail, but could be knit up in a flashy novelty yarn for a glamorous night time dress. Pattern is given in one size which fits most, but is easily adapted to fit any figure or shape.

  • Petticoat Junction Dress ($1.00): You will need:
    2 US 10 ½ , one 24” long, one 32” long circulars. US9 circular needles
    Darning needle
Rowan Linen Print 10 balls (60 yards, bulky weight) (MC)
Mango Moon Ribbon 5-6 balls (75 yards) (CC)
NOTE: Both of these yarns have been discontinued, however you can use any comparable ribbon yarn that creates a stretchy fabric. This pattern is written in only one size which should fit most sizes, if you would like a different size you can adjust your cast on stitches or change your needle size. The pattern as written is a made from a stretchy yarn in a loose gauge and would fit from a small to large size.  (More Info)
  • Back and Forth Skirt Formula ($1.00): You will need: Several hundred yards of a aran to worsted weight yarn. (Pictured in Lana d'Oro Tweed by Cascade Yarns, this yarn has been discontinued.)
We recommend Berocco Alpaca or comparable yarn that achieves a gauge of 5 sts per inch on US8 needles.
    US 8 circular needles
    Darning Needle
    Cable Needle

This pattern is more of a formula or guideline than a strict pattern. You will need to measure yourself to determine the number of stitches to cast on, the math is given for you though.  (More Info)

  • Hippie Bootleg Pants ($1.00): You Will Need:
    2 size 10 ½ Circular needles
    2 size 9 DPNs (for i-cord)

We used Cascade 220 for the test knit, but this pattern would work well in any worsted weight wool or cotton that does not stretch too much. You will need approximately 1100-1320 yards of yarn for the main part of the legs and about 100 -200 yards of the contrasting color.

If using Cascade 220 you will need 5(5,6,6) balls of Color A and 1 ball of Color B for sizes 30(34,38,42) inches around the waist.  (More Info)
