I think the yarn is great, but also think the other ideas are wonderful. Gift certificates for yarn stores might work best if they are for online stores, since so many are localized. Sets of circular needles, or dpn would be pretty awesome too, who can have too many? Love the contest entries, I'm only sad that my schedule has prevented me from entering this time.
